KIDS AFTER SCHOOL (Kids 8-13+)
This after-school program teaches you the basics of sewing while you work on creative projects with other kids your age. You’ll make a new machine-sewn project each week that you can take home and show off to your family and friends. If this is your first time sewing, we’ll start you off with some great beginner projects. And if you’ve been sewing for a while, we’ll challenge and develop your skills. Our Kids After School program (ages 8-13+) includes all of your fabric and supplies plus a snack each week, and is catered to you and your skills so that you can sign up for the program again and again. You’re on your way to sewing super-stardom!

PROJECTS: Both newbies and repeat students will do a brand new, unique project each week. Some of the projects new students will do include a personalized pillow, a teddy bear, a messenger bag, a stylish clutch, reconstructed jeans and t-shirts, and fashion accessories. Skills and techniques: Sewing-machine basics Hand-sewing techniques Tools and terminology Stitches: Regular stitch, topstitch, edgestitch, basting Seam finishes: Serging, over-edge zigzag Working with various materials Applique and adorning techniques Cost: $300 Fabric and Supplies: Included Course duration: Two hours once a week for seven weeks Prerequisite: None!
