March Break Sewing Camps

SUMMER CAMPS

Style Savvy
Get ready for summer this year with the hottest new accessories and clothes made by YOU! In this class you will learn to sew, plus make your own super-cute purse, dress and re-worked vintage piece. This class is all about fashion and shopping, and what could be better then that? We're going to take you to Toronto's fashion district at Queen and Spadina to teach you how to source fabrics and notions (in sewing speak that means essentials). You're going to learn about different fabrics, how they are made, how to purchase them, and how to use them. We're also going on a second field trip to Kensington Market for some vintage shopping. You'll get to pick out a vintage piece, then re-work it into your own garment. At the end of the class, you will do a presentation on what you learned about fabrics and show off your garments!
