Pin up your tresses on hot summer days! Make these cute hair clips with your kiddies for a personalized look.
Supplies:
Scrap fabric for bow ties (cut into small squares)
Hair clips
Hand sewing needle
Glue gun
Step 1: For each bow tie: fold squares right sides together and stitch around at ¼” (0.6 cm) seam allowance. Leave a small opening to turn right sides out.
Step 2: Clip the corners (for sharper edges once turned out to the right side).
Step 3: Turn right sides out and push in the seam allowance left over in the opening.
Step 4: Using a hand sewing needle and thread, sew up the small opening.
Step 5: Pinch the middle of the bowtie and sew a few stitches for reinforcement.
Step 6: Glue the bowties to the hair clips.
